Medical Massage Appointments - NYSHIP Insurance Accepted
Medical Massage vs Spa Massage - While a regular massage may successfully relax you or temporarily relieve some stress, medical massage will produce tangible results. Medical massage therapy treatment is planned out with a specific goal in mind, and your massage will factor into a larger treatment plan that is based around your health needs and goals. Please refer to me via phone to inquire about and when to setup your 1st session. I'll need the following info to be presented for insurance purposes:
1. NYSHIP Insurance Card
2. A Completed Intake Form Documented & Signed
3. A Doctors Prescription Consenting on Medical Massage & Time Period They Recommend
(For Example: Once A Week For 12 Weeks, 6 months, etc.).
4. Drivers License
5. Personal Check for each visit:
Sessions 1 to 3: $100 per session (This Covers Deductible & Copay).
Sessions 4 to 20: $25 Copay per session.
As of July 2023 NYSHIP insurance will cover up to 20 massage sessions per year. As long as you follow up with Prescriptions I provide the massages! Contact me for more info : 516-457-7371 or email me at wowfactrwellness@aol.com.

Chair Massage
A popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.
Great service to have for any special occasion as well (birthdays, weddings, corporate health fairs etc.)
Swedish Massage
A very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
Deep Tissue Massage
A service that specifically aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.
Hot Stone Therapy
A style of massage where heated stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.
Reflexology
A type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression. Upon the completion of every treatment warm towels are added to the hands and feet.
Oriental Bodywork
Commonly known as "Asian bodywork", aims to restore and balance the flow of energy (Chi) throughout your body. It uses gentle hand and finger pressure along specific points and energy pathways (meridians) on your body to restore your body to full health. There are many forms of Oriental bodywork, but they all share a common foundation in Chinese Medicine. They simply differ in their use of specific techniques to balance your energy.
Athletic Performance Massage
Also known as "Sports Massage", is specifically designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sport Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function.

Service charges listed above are based on LOCAL sessions. Additional traveling expenses may be applied for services outside Nassau or Western Suffolk County Long Island region.
A heated massage table is provided and all guests receive complimentary dry heat to the neck/back with additional uni packs. Services provided below include complimentary steamy warm towels to the whole back, legs and feet as well:
Swedish, Asian, Deep Tissue, Hot stone, and/or Aromatherapy massage sessions
An intake form will be provided before any service. Please inform your therapist of any medical conditions that may impact you and/ or the treatment itself. Please be aware that certain medical conditions may even need a medical clearance before any session is established. I'm here to help so please feel free to contact me whenever you like before the appointment if you have any concerns.
